Credit card APR - re-negotiate?

Hi, has anyone ever rang up a credit card company and successfully re-negotiated a lower APR? You hear about people doing it with TV / telecomms so why not credit cards?...just an idea

Yes I have lowered my Barclaycard rate before once I had had it a while. I called up and said I was looking around for a better rate and I was offered a better rate. Always worth a call, worst they can say is no0
