Does she need to register as Self Employed?

My daughter is 18 but still in full time education.
She has a part time job, once a week cleaning for a company. She is employed by them.
If she takes another cleaning job also once a week for about 2 hours a time, for an elderly lady, will she need to register as being Self Employed too?
Both these jobs are 'pocket money' as such as she is still in school.
Your thoughts please.

I would be amazed if she got anywhere near her tax allowance!0

Being self employed is nothing to do with how many jobs you have. Self employment is running your own business.0

Indeed, but is it classed as running a business when someone asks a school child to do a job for them.
I want to get this right!

Strictly speaking, yes, she should register and fill in a tax return each year (actually v simple to do). She'll owe nothing at this point, but it's a legal requirement. Registering takes minutes on the HMRC website.
If, however (and I'm surprised I'm saying this), this is for a few months only whilst she's at school (eg, up to her exams), and you know she's not going to reach the threshold for tax, I'd be tempted to not bother. If she's at uni and therefore this is a longer term thing, I probably would bother as longevity of her 'business' may suggest it's more a business as an adult than a school kid earning some pocket money. However, that's just my opinion - legally speaking the situations are the same!
