As I understand it you pay flipper to do something that you're quite capable of doing for yourself for free. What's so onerous about running a comparison?
I prefer to monitor my usage, needs and expenditure myself and not entrust it to flipping strangers.Mornië utulië0 -
The situation with GB Energy is great. The Co-op are guaranteeing a ridiculously favourable tariff: 9.4p per kWh for electricity.Je suis sabot...0

I agree 100%. If these sites are using Ofgem savings comparisons to initiate a switch, then the consumer may not be getting the cheapest deal. Indeed, it is more likely that it will cost more. Are they checking separate suppliers for gas and energy? As they are linked to a comparison site, what do they do about aprising customers of best deals listed on suppliers' sites only? To my mind, there is little benefit in letting a third-party do what are some pretty basic searches.
Moreover, at the end of the day, the only person who can monitor the actual switching process is the consumer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Agreed, but remember that 66% of customers have never switched, and quite a few of them might be tempted to pay someone else to do the onerous job of spending 10 mins on a comp site to save maybe £300pa.
