Nah, we are still waiting for the money to fall out of the sky on this one i think!

have to wait until OH finds a better job and his CCs are gone, then we might be thinking about planning something.

I have spotted a couple of venues tho, depends on how tight im feeling ;)

Do it last minute at the end of the season. Considering what we had, the poshness of the venue my wedding was pretty cheap as weddings go. I organised the whole thing in 4 weeks, which I admit would have been trickier if I hadn't of had the odd contact but would have been perfectly do-able without. I just made sure that suppliers knew that I was aware that they would never sell their service/venue etc for that date, so anything I paid was a bonus.

In total my wedding cost under £4,000 that included the venue, drinks reception, 3 course hot buffet (which was fab), wine with meal. Then we had a free bar in the evening which came to £1000 and a sandwich buffet.

I had 80 guests for the meal and god knows how many in the evening, we had half of the guests from the wedding next door in while the bands were playing. So there must have been over 300 people in the evening.

My dress was a sample from a wedding shop. I was so lucky in that it fitted as if it were made for me and I loved it. But it was less than 1/4 of retail price. All shoes etc came from ebay, the bridesmaids dresses came from the debenhams sale. Vista print through quidco for the invitations and place cards.

Ok we didn't pay for the cake, one of my friends is a baker who made it for our gift. 3 tier chocolate which was lovely. We paid for one of the bands but not the other (we work with the second band so they did it as a gift). Photographer was £500 for 2 people, not too bad I thought. I didn't bother with cars, what a waste of money. I did spend £120 for my bouquet and another £100 for the bridesmaids flowers and button holes. I was specific about my flowers though, had to have orchids and lillies because they were Mums favs and the flowers went up to her grave on the Sunday.

All in all it was a pretty MSE wedding, so when the time comes give me a yell if you need a few money saving tips.
