OMG, I just got a call to say have got a job interview on Thursday. Cant wait, have been out of work for just over 3 years due to illness. Aghh, can I have some luck thrown my way please?!
Lots of luck for Thursday from me too........Our Granddaughter, Caitlin Freya is now 7 years old, growing up to be a lovely young lady and our Grandson, Findlay Ewan is 3 years old and still a lovable bundle of mischief
one of each, how perfect

Masses of good luck whizzing your way hjb123.
Just be yourself at the interview and I'm sure you'll fly through it.
I hope that Feb is a good luck month.
I think we've nearly sold our house. Waiting for some final details then we could be making the move back up north to my old haunts of Lancashire:j
Then it will be my turn with the interviews for a new job.:eek:0 -

thanks for all the luck guys - hopefully it will go okay, im getting nervous already
just got to think of possible questions and how to reply to them - normally get questions like what are your strengths and weaknesses - never know what to say
any possible question/answer scenarios I would be grateful for

OMG Spooky Hjb I also have that same feeling !!!(Altho not as bad)
Applied for a job yesterday evening, got phone call at 5pm 2day !! They wanted me to start 2moro temping there for 3 days then permenant on Monday...but I dont want to temp, so I am going in for proper interview this week, and will start Monday if I like the place !!!
I havent worked in 4 years, since the ex left us & I had to be here for my youngest, so I am gobsmacked...
Re possible questions...
Depending what job role you are going for some are competence interviews (for customer service side) like Can you give an example of when you excelled in cust service, Can you tell us of a time when you worked especially well in a team etc.
I am not even thinking about answers to be honest for my interview, I find the best are normally those that come natural, i would be sick with worry if i thought of possible questions/answers. I have 17 years worth of possible answers, its just finding them in my head at the right time lol
Just be natural, smile and enjoy the process, and as my youngest says..'mum, once the interview is over you have done it' Go in there KNOWING you are the best person for the job and if they asked you for an interview then there must be something about you & your application that they liked
I am so chuffed for you, I know what it is like but are you not going to miss these comps tho ?? lolBest wins

Hmm been thinking about the strengths and weaknesses question all night lol
(Yep even I am getting the nervous pangs now)
Whether right or wrong if I am asked these in my interview I will say the following, if nothing else they are true~
Strengths
The ability to adapt to any given circumstance that may arise, and incorporate this into my daily workload with the knowledge that I will be able to handle the added pressure that this will bring. Then I will go on to give an example in previous work where I have had to do just this.
Weaknesses
(A bit harder..but this will be mine)
The inability to say 'No' to collegues when they ask if I can do something for them that they dont know how to do themselves. I say Yes and take on their work with no questions asked. This is something I wish to change and say "yes" this time I will do this, BUT for future reference this is how it is done...and proceed to show them how to do the task, thefore they will learn something new for the future
(Which in my eyes anyway, turns a negative into a positive as both parties gain something from this)Best wins
