Neobux no longer will have Paypal.

PayPal contacted us today to notify us they would be terminating our account.
I won't sugarcoat it, this news came as a total, shocking surprise.

To add insult to injury, they clarified there was nothing wrong on our end, but since they faced huge problems due to the practices of another known website, which theoretically belonged in the PTC vertical -even though they operated in a completely different way than our business model-, they were now forced to cancel every account belonging to a PTC website, regardless if there is a direct violation of their User Acceptance Policy or not.

No matter how unfair this might be, we have to remain pragmatic and ensure that the principles that made NeoBux what it is today remain unaffected.

To that end, we will adapt in order to make this transition as smooth as possible for our members. First of all, no user will lose a single penny and there will be NO "necessary" deductions of any kind. That is guaranteed.

In addition, any limitations regarding transactions through PayPal, as per our Terms of Service point 5.1, will stop in 4 weeks from now to ensure that no frustrations or long-term limitations are imposed on users who made purchases through PayPal.
Unfortunately, this is a necessary procedure until we can deal with the necessary bureaucracy in order to withdraw money from our terminated PayPal account. This simply means that before 4 weeks from now (we believe around the end of the month but don't quote me on that) every user that's bound by point 5.1 to PayPal purchases will be free to chose another payment processor. Unfortunately we cannot legally remove that restriction until then so please bear with us on that. As soon as we have the legal ok we'll remove it. This obviously won't affect those not bound to PayPal purchases.

All the PayPal purchases buttons have been already removed. The cashout button will redirect to this thread so that everyone sees it.

All the PayPal references from our Terms of Service, FAQ, etc, will be gradually removed as well.

The only positive note under the current conditions is that users have been shifting away from PayPal and started using other payment processors in the past months, which makes the situation not as difficult as it would have been in the past.

Finally, this setback will not compromise or affect the pillars upon which NeoBux has been built: Reliability, trust, innovation and transparency.
We will never become like the ones responsible for this outcome.

Unfortunately we have to pay for the mistakes of others but at least we'll make things right in the end because we're all a family and that's how it will always be.

    Thank you.

Wow!!! Now I dont know what I am going to do. Going to have to have a real look at the other options for paying into neobux as well as further down the road, hopefully drawing some money from it.

Sorry to hear that about Neobux.
If PayPal really did have huge problems because of the practices of Clixsense I think it would be interesting to hear more about it. At the moment, particularly with some other Get Paid To sites having had problems as well, I think the lack of any real explanation about account freezes and terminations just makes it seem like PayPal are being unreasonable.

Talking of which, I think it's unfair of Neo to say: "We will never become like the ones responsible for this outcome."
Maybe there's stuff I don't know about, but both sites have long been reliable payers and hopefully will continue to be even without PayPal.

Great! Another one without paypal. I make a fair amount of money on neobux and have never had any problems getting paid. I'm finding the whole ptc, surveys, etc sites are really going down hill lately. Such a shame.:(

Quick question ~ for those of you who use payza, how easy is it to withdraw from there? I want to build my total up to avoid wasting some of it on the admin fee but want to make sure it goes to my account easily.

I find it quite easy. When the money is in the account in $ I convert it to £ and then withdraw to my bank account. It takes about five days for the funds to clear into the account.

Its a shame paypal is leaving the PTC business thats why both neobux and clixsense have had paypal taken off the site. with clixsense now doing away with PTC ads i wouldn't be suprised to see paypal back on clix in the near future.

Has anyone tried skrill i know with neobux you can use skrill and i use skrill alot for other things i do online. My only concern is conversion from dollars to pounds i'm a skrill vip member but i'm not sure if that helps with the conversion rate.

Good to see some of the old crowd still going strong hope were all making lots of money !

Theres a british guy whose on neobux who makes over 1K profit each month he's been doing it since it first started. i bet he was upset when they announced no more paypal he will still be able to use skrill if he doesn't already but for some others paypal was essential for them when using neobux.
  • I have a skrill account but only use it to have my clix earnings paid into and then transferred to neo which doesnt cost me anything.

My issue is going to be adding funds I earn from other sites to neo. Anything I earn into paypal I have been adding to neo to move things along a little quicker. This is only little bits and wont be worth doing looking at some of the charges of other processors.

So for now.....I will keep an eye on what others here and on the site will be doing and just managing with the earnings I make on neo to keep it chugging along whilst still building my account.

Great to see you Olderwiser......you were one of my inspirations to get involved with neo a couple of years ago. :D

I'm with Payza so am hoping NeoBux will have that option. If not I will use Skrill, and hopefully that will work out ok.
