Gettinga 2nd pension + other questions?

So I currently pay into an NHS pension as well as a S&S ISA, should I contribute to a 2nd pension an AVC?

Also when my OH retires (we are not married) will he automatically get his state pension or will it be down to my income/savings etc?

Your OH can claim his state pension when he reaches SPA - his entitlement is not affected by your circumstances.

He can obtain a state pension statement as can you.

A pension in addition to your NHS pension can be useful if you wish to leave employment earlier than the age at which you can access it without actuarial reduction.
