WELSH rockers Stereophonics will be descending on Sheffield this autumn on their new Pull The Pin tour.

Often thought of as one of Britain's best live bands, the Stereophonics first tour since 2005 sees them returning to Sheffield's Hallam Arena, on Friday 9th November.

With new single It Means Nothing out this week, the band have also recently headlined at Radio One's One Big Weekend and their new album's taster track Bank Holiday Monday is fast becoming a live favourite.

"We have only played a couple of shows and already the crowds are singing along to it," says bass guitarist Richard Jones.

To celebrate, everybody who purchases a tour ticket can download the track – which is released as a purchase download – for free.

"We want to give our fans a taste of the new album and an idea of how exciting our shows in November will be," says Kelly Jones. "It's going to be rocking. See you in November!"

"We can't wait for the tour," adds Richard. "The set list is going to be great – new songs from the album and old favourites."

Known for their earlier anthems like More Life In A Tramp's Vest and A Thousand Trees, The Stereophonics will also be performing more recent hits like Dakota.

Organisers say that their new album, Pull The Pin, written by Kelly Jones and produced by Kelly and Jim Lowe, boasts 12 new tracks and is a rock record of 'epic proportions'.

"Mixed by Spike Stent, it looks set to be one of the definitive albums of their incredible 10-year career," say their PR people

Tickets cost £28.50 and can be booked by calling the Box Office on 0114 256 56 56 or online at www.hallamfmarena.co.uk.
