Where to buy Walkie Talkies

Hey

I want to give my family walkie talkies so we can all keep track of each other when on walks. As I can't guarantee mobile signal this seems like the best approach. Open to suggestions.

Does anyone know where to buy cheap walkie talkies, plus I don't want to pay for a license (which I believe you need to now a days) so need them to be license free. I want to buy a pack of two to three initially but would like to easily expand on that number if possible.

I have found one that I think looks good, Its the Motorola TLKR T80, which comes in packs of four for around £130 but have no idea if this is a good price or if there is anything better. This price is from Direct Radios if that helps.

If you are walking as a family why can't you just speak to each other? Why do you need walkie talkies?

Ok to be clear, sometime the family like to explore so we go off in groups. It's more fun that way!

In that case then yes these would do the job.
£130 looks ok for them. 4 pack is £140 from amazon.

If you are looking for a 10k range just remember that that is optimistic. Under normal conditions you would be probably looking less than 2 miles I would guess.
