Evening all!
Regarding all these survey invites at the bottom of your shopping receipts offering prize money for your opinions of your shopping experience.
I was just completing my surveys after my shopping trip today and I was struck with the thought of whether I was wasting my time or not.
Does anyone else fill them in and if so, has anyone here ever won?
I often do this when I have the time but have never heard of anyone winning.
Are we just being used to 'grass on' our stores. Does the info get filtered back to the stores? and worse still, do staff get a "telling off" if the answers are less than positive.
I'm sure someone does win the money every week/month but I'm sceptical about what gets done with the results.
Today I have completed an Aldi and Dunelm (I only wanted to buy a cheese grater!GRRR!) survey. Neither of them were particularly positive as I feel I need to complete them honestly. (Something that has just struck me as I typed that line....Is the positivity/negativity of the answers taken into account as to whether or not you are "A Winner"?)
I hope this topic isn't replicated on here anywhere. I've been a regular lurker on here for years but don't recall seeing this topic covered. Also I imagine you get offered these surveys on other "non food" spends but I don't shop in these places often so I thought the "Food shopping board" was the right place to put it. Please feel free to move it if necessary.
Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and successes!

as these types of survey are on the bottom of many receipts, not just food shops, I've moved the thread to the general Shopping board so more people may see it and be able to share their experiences0

I tend to do them if I'm in a good mood. Never won yet!0

Never won, but I am more likely to fill them in when service in a restaurant has been poor.0

I fill them in at least once a week and have never won anything.I'm a professional cynic but my heart's not in it0

My father filled one in for his local pub chain restaurant about 18 months ago and won £1000!

I fill them in but haven't won yet.
I would hope if a negative comment was made about staff (and they were named) that they would get re training rather than a telling off, depends on the comment left I guess.0
