Fidelite call on door

Hi just had a door step caller from Fidelite who said he was recovering a debt from the funding company, I have lived in my new house for 7 years and never paid or acknowledged any letters from them is this debt statute barred

If you get something in writing, respond with the statute barred letter.
Seems they have been busy over Christmas, other posters have had visits to.

They Asked for my name address etc I told them the entire debt is starute barred is this correct from me thanks for advice0 -

Err, yes, but don't deal with matters like this on the doorstep.
Anything to do with debts or legal issues should be dealt with in writing only.
