    I'm back!

Not sure why I haven't popped in here this week, but I'm back here now!

So on the car front, my old car is still chugging along. I haven't bought a new car yet, but my plan is to buy a car on a 0% credit card. Yes, it's a kick in the nuts for my debt free mission, but I'm making cuts elsewhere.

I had an iPad that I've cut. I'm also reducing my over-payment on the mortgage from over £260 to around £150, which will save me extra money.

A project I've been working on for a few weeks is slowly coming to fruition, so I'll hopefully start to be able to take a little bit of money from that in the coming weeks.

In the meantime I've still been paying down my CC, so the debt on that front is down to £1550.

I think I've made my peace with the car issue. It's a fact of life that I need a car and going into debt is the only way I can do it unless I buy a heap of crap.

The plan is to buy this car and keep it for a long time.

Additionally, I'm really focussed on growing my business significantly this year so the extra income will come in very handy!

Well! Welcome back Exerbusi2. I think it's hard to keep up the momentum and enthusiasm. However, maybe that's just me.
I've had a bit of a spending spree this month on, well, not really that much stuff. I seem to have exchanged my candle addiction for Elemis beauty products.
BUT...... I've just sold 130 candles for £1600! So I'm so pleased with that! I think I'll pay £1000 off the debts but the £600 towards my Summer holiday!

Wow! That's fantastic - £1600 is a great little addition to the pot!

I've just been to Amsterdam for the weekend on a stag do, which has been a pretty costly exercise! That being said, it was kind of a one-off and I've got ways to reduce my spending this month.

My outgoings go up as of next month, so I've got to curb any excess spending, which I will be doing. I've also got to take stock of where I am financially as the situation is about to change soon with my upcoming car purchase!

Once I'm back into the swing of things at work I'll take a few hours to pour over the details of my finances currently!

Good to hear from you Exerbusi2! It's funny looking at post #163 saying that no one is biting at the candles and then suddenly I get someone interested and buying 130 of them!
They are actually interested in my other ones but the ones I have left are quite rare and I'm not willing to let them go as cheap. I'd rather burn them actually.
Regarding the job, I applied and I now have an interview on Monday. Pay has already been discussed tentitively if I was successful after interview and whereas it's an ok package, I'm not sure it's enough to make me consider moving. Hopefully they are open to negotiations!

Hope all ok Exerbusi2 - if you aren't back soon I'll eventually have to start a diary!
Was about £600 up last month but this one isn't going as well.
Awaiting money from partner for our trip to Bruges, plus I've bought a few things, had a wedding to attend to as well. I'm still paying off my minimum requirements, I just like to throw more at the debt if I can.
