I'm a little concerned about costs spiralling if this does end up dragging its way through court.
He has a clause in his contract which states all debt recovery costs will be passed on to us. The fact he has this clause in his contract suggests he has done this trick before. Shame on us for not knowing better.
What is a debt of £x could then turn into £y after he claims court fees, solicitor costs etc.
I need some legal advice to know if the clause regarding debt recovery is even still valid after he being the one who terminated the contract.
