Natwest Loan AIP help!

So the Thursday before new year weekend my partner applied for a natwest loan which the day later he received an email with an acceptance of principle and the contract to sign.. we still haven't received the loan but we still haven't had anything to say if we have been accepted or declined to the loan.. can anyone help please!
