I manually allowed the pop-up but it does need babysitting as the first set of videos have been running for 45 minutes and not credited nor ticked the box....

Goodness me logged into swagbucks 10 mins later I have a virus. everytime I hit anything I get pop up tabs 😔

3 hours later it's gone, I hope, but now I change videos in watch and it opens a new tab but doesn't change videos. is this happening to just me?

Hope your not just assuming it's gone?
Do a virus check and search online for something like 'suddenly lots of pop-ups' and check their advice. Programs like Malwarebytes, Bitdefender and Spybot Search and destroy should be on your list.

The attempts to hijack our computers seem to come through the ad feeds for watch etc and try to get you to click on something that appears to be from a legitimate company. Easily done.
