I get fed up with everyone getting so excited about the "Sale" on the paypal gift cards etc.
As far as I can tell in the US 100 SB = $1
$1 = 81.3p
so in the US you should be able to exchange the equivalent of 1000 SB for £8.13
but in the case of the £10 Paypal gift card 'sale', 1600 gives us £10
but the US ratio is
1000SB = £8.13
or
1600 = £13
So even in the sale - we are still worse off by £3 for every 1600 SB we exchange - a difference of 30% compared to our US friends !
It certainly does not feel like a sale to me - more like not ripping us off as much as usual....
So to your point of is it worth it - I would say unless we are treated like the US (proper conversion rates and all the extra ways to earn (like nGage) that they have) - then the UK version is not so good these days - especially with the restrictions on the apps (if you can get them to work) etc as well as toolbarTV (60 SB limit now and having to watch 20 instead of 10) etc...
I'm getting close to dropping off for a bit too as its taking hours to earn 50p...0 -
Cmcavon, shame you are having a dry spell, but I'm a bit glad it isn't just me and it should hopefully pick up!0

I just popped over and looked through my spreadsheet. Last year I "earnt" £1350 extra by doing surveys, ebaying, and a few other things, this includes £235 on swagbucks - which I only started doing regularly in May.
Hoping to smash this - and have set £1500 as my goal this year.
Ncrave is proving to be a pain though, has not worked in over a month now, and was away on holiday and had poor wifi connection so missed 7 daily goals so far this year.
Love reading the tips on here, and will gratefully receive more, every little helps.

I'm sort of in the same boat and I seem to get disqualified from surveys without even answering a single question! But rather than quit it all together I might just stop trying to get the daily goal as I have very little free time at the moment and sometimes I get stressed trying to achieve it.0 -
It has been so slow this last week or so, I have struggled to meet my goal most days. nCrave is working sometimes for me, varies from day to day. Sometimes I just get an error.
Just when I thought all was lost laptop guy has just appeared on My SB page. I have not seen him for a few weeks!
I wonder whether everything just winds down a bit over the Christmas holidays?0 -
It definately slows down over Xmas/NY and takes a while to kick back in over January (which I'm definately seeing and sounds like you are too!)
I'm surprised we haven't had more short surveys about diets, holidays and new years resolutions yet!0
