I've had Tesco value steak before, yes sometimes it involves turning a few packs over to find the best looking meat.
My cats enjoy Sainsburys basic frozen fish!

To me, the froze mince definitely tastes 'different' My OH isn't fussy what he eats, but I did once use it and he asked if it was frozen. It seems to have a different texture, more.......I don't know......grainy....."Stay Wonky":D

I'm a student so I can do a weeks shopping on £11.50 a week. Yes and I eat very well!! If you buy the stuff on deals at tesco etc you can eat branded food but the stuff that really tastes good comes from a proper butchers and fruit/veg market for half the price!!

I'll probably be able to go the rest of the week without buying food at all thanks to the things in the cupboards, so I'll do a shop next week.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

Tesco do Value noodles that are about 8p a packet I think. I don't get them often but they make a perfectly fine quick lunch, and I think taste nicer than the expensive equivalents, like Super Noodles. The Curry flavour are nicest, yum yum.0

Well didn't do too well last night, failed on the DFW front as well...
Was listening to a colleaque telling me that she was going to cook thai red duck curry last night, my favourite, and couldn't get the thought or craving out of my head. Bought the ingredients (not gonna say how much ), got home, had to drive DH to a couple of places and ended up in Tesco at 10pm at the hot chicken counter and had a chicken drumstick blowout
Plus I realised I've got stuff in for the next 2 nights, so Friday will be value chilli night!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I work in the food industry as a rep so have been in many different factories from fruit and veg to canned foods to meat etc and from the day i saw the way value mince was made i never touch value foods! Wish i could forget so my food shopping bill wasn't so high lol!0
