Try also to heat the scrw head with a heat gun. Should come out easy after this,

Thanks everyone............ I've done it!! Only needed a combination of whacking the screwdriver with a hammer and pulling on the hinge with the door for a couple of really tough ones.

Obvious(?), but only when you know how.
