The Gas and Electric aren't much, but it's extra going out that we could do without.

It may be worthwhile switching one of the properties to Ebico - Although their per-unit prices are higher than the mainstream suppliers, they don't levy a standing charge.

Ebico also have a number of different ways of paying and do not demand a direct debit upfront.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

You may find that the secured loan was taken out for home improvements and when the loan was repaid that GE money forgot to remove the second charge with the land registry, this sometimes happens.

Getting probate should help - the solicitor will be ableto send a copy of the grant to the loan company and they shuld then be able to speak to the executors.

Some comapnies are *very* bad wneh it comes to dealing with issues following a death, but the grant of probate should give you 'clout' you need to get them tio start moving, not to mention standing to make a formal complaint if they don't!
All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)
