  • *guilty pleasure TV* - popping in to declare a liking for Homes Under the Hammer, Escape top the country and endless repeats of Nigel Slater cooking shows even though he irritates the hell out of me! :D

Didn't make it in to work, couldn't sleep for coughing. I have a underlying lung problem and I always seem to be ill at the same time every December . Had a meltdown this morning as work are so not ok about sickness , have had 5 days off this year already , another worry now will I be on a sickness monitor! This makes me feel more ill the thought of this.

Think I will be dragging myself in tomorrow whether I am ill or not.

Seem to be in a doom and gloom mood today. Daughter making my tea tonight so going to go there soon.

  • Oh no, you can't help being ill Cumbria, especially if you have an underlying condition. How mean of your work to monitor you :(. I hope you feel better soon.

I take echinaccea when I feel ill which often helps (I makes me feel better anyway). Early nights, water and grapes always seem to help too.

So sorry to hear you're still not right, there are so many nasty things around right now. OH has had a cold of some sort, including a chest infection, retinal migraine and now a head cold, since the end of September. He's had steroids and antibiotics, his flu injection, masses of Vitamin C and zinc, and echinacea, and yet he still seems to be suffering - and it isn't man-flu either.
I do hope you get better soon, and I hope you don't feel pressured to going back before you are properly well though I know how difficult that must be. Hope tea was delicious and reviving.

I am staying at home tomorrow and going to try and see my GP again. I have every symptom of my very rare lung problem. ( I like to be different ) so I think I will be having an X-ray if I get my way. It's very rare and doctors don't really understand it, but I do.

Anyway work will wait, I will fight that battle when it comes to it.

In good news I may have sold the phone . Will update over the next few days.
