There are plenty of smaller independent furniture stores out there.0

If you think their percentage is steep, just look at Bright House.... and prepare your jaw for that impact on the desk or floor0

Now people do the same for Apple products, wait ages to pay retail at Apple when they could wait 3 months for the prices to come down to buy later (or better models with higher capacity).0 -
Off subject but I got Woodworm all of a sudden on my Cubes after having had them for 3 years.
This is entirely possible as if the Wood got to the factory with eggs inside then they would take 3-5 years to emerge.
However Oakland deny it is possible to have sold you an infested piece.
Even spin a line that it could have spread from something else in your house (Which is not possible)
With that defensive attitude I will never enter their stores again.0 -

The majority of people don't need new furniture on finance; they need "OK furniture that'll do" while they save up what would've been the payments in order to pay cash.
Of course, when you do buy things for cash, YOUR MONEY ... you suddenly view everything differently and don't wish to part with your money for what now looks like poor value for money.
Their business model is built on making people want a lifestyle they can't really afford ... by making it attractive through long repayment periods and lowish monthly payments.
Nobody needs what they're selling .... they just make you want it and it's surprising how long 36-48 months of payments feels once you've got past the first one!0
