No one wants a 'bad credit loan'... but if you had to?

A friend of mine with a bad credit rating (left with credit card bills totalling around £3000) genuinely needs a loan (I'm going bankrupt so am in no position to help) for around £4000, I don't pretend for a second that there are decent loan companies out there, I know to my cost, but if anyone needed a loan it's her. We've exhausted every other avenue, If you HAD to take out a loan with a so called company that specializes in bad credit loans who would you suggest? She fell for the YES-Loans con, and her bank won't give her a loan. She works full-time, but has only just put herself on the electoral roll, not knowing she wasn't on it (marriage breakup) (if that's any help). I really am loathe to trawl the internet for her, I'm quite aware of the sharks that are waiting to feed out there, but at the moment its very complicated and it comes down to, financially at least, a case of better the devil you know, she needs the money, that's just not in question. If any one has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
