Hope everything is still heading in the right direction with the foot mum2one
We finally put the tree up tonight. Even though the living room is still a dumping ground as it hasnt been decorated yet and i have a touch of food poisoning so really didnt want to do it DD took the lead for the first time ever, the room looks presentable and its just lovely having the tree up.
I just need to dig the tree skirt out but as that involves a fair amount of digging it will have to wait until Monday.
Need to pull on one of my spare presents for a last minute present but i think it will be really liked.
I had bought some buffet food in for DD to try. It was a winner so has been put on the food list for when we do our big saving stamp shop-not that we need much. But just feel happy we are prepared. Hope everyones preparations are coming along okay.Decluttering challenge🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️0 -
Hi everyone. I had a tooth extraction Monday and had some bad side effects, really glad my friend insisted on going with me because the nurse had to call her into the room after I had bad palpitations as I had to get a 2nd lot of injections done as the first didn't take enough, then I felt dizzy when it was all finished so had to sit in the waiting room. Friend stayed overnight with me, I felt really bad the next day, I even had a dizzy spell walking back from the shops few days ago.
Son is here now from group home and I'm avoiding painkillers for mouth as they give me stomach cramps so I'm in the wars. I may take some tomorrow evening when I'm on my own and he's with his dad.
That astonishing news I was given a few weeks ago from the ex is that secretly he got married and not even that, he had the lady in question living with him for a few years without my knowing as he always told me he was never interested in relationships after me.
There's even more shockers that were revealed, he was convinced I'd be really upset and angry hence kept quiet.
I won't go into it all now, maybe another time.
Mum2one, I'm really glad that you avoided such a drastic surgery, wow, what a horrendous thing to happen just from a rubbed trainer or was that hiding the actual cause? That's brilliant that Miss H can help you out now.
Katiehound, it was me that asked about the cruises. I used to travel since I was a baby, parents both lived all over the world until they settled in England, because of my background I had a lot of problems with travel especially in the Cold War days, very scary times, even in non-Communist states. After I had children I developed very bad travel phobia, hence I don't go away anymore but I do enjoy reading about everyone's trips away.
I'm not surprised you gave up on the dishwasher man and bought a new one.0 -
The dish washer saga that keeps giving! was expecting shop to phone today and tell me there has been a delivery............nothing!
Just one present left to pack. This year I had a lot of boxes, really handy as you put all the small things inside and then one easy box to wrap. Just a couple of cards to write. Then I am done
Have you seen this advert- a 2 year old- delightful

or how to wrap your cat for Christmas??

5 duvets arrived yesterday.........guess what I shall be doing over the weekend! The plan is to get some completed,(luckily they were all pristine so no washing needed) then I shall have some in stock incase there is a rush. Have e-mailed a couple of local papers for a mention for the sales, but not holding breath!!
One even phoned to see if I would like to take out a (paid) advert!- what when it's all for charity @ £3.50 a throw, I don't think so.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

anglea hope everything settled after the tooth extraction. Sounded a very nasty reaction
mum2one hope the foot is still doing well
chanie any more presents for 2020?
I was away at the weekend for a sports comp and getting ready to go away to Poland tomorrow. Had a bit of a faff with the seats with special assistance and checking in and with one of my meds i need to get extra confirmation.
Didnt get much sleep last night and from 7am all i seem to have been doing is sorting things out. All sorted now. Have to pick a letter up from the doctors later for the meds plus see the doctor, get a few bits and pack.
Took some presents with us at the weekend and brought some back as i missed the person when they were leaving.
Feel very happy that i had everything prepared. Apart from picking up the meat for cold cuts everything seems done, anything not is just getting left now as i just want to enjoy Christmas!
I hope everyone is getting there aswellDecluttering challenge🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️0 -
New dishwasher delivered.
Friend's husband came to connect it, he also removed the old one to the tip so went off with 4 x bottles of real ale as a gift since he saved me £20.
It won't be on until daylight (solar panels!)
Went to leisure centre for a shower since I'm a paid up member- pool closed all this week- not good. Found I had forgotten the shampoo, then my big, clean bath towel fell off door straight onto shower floor. Not much dry towel left for drying! Before that couldn't park in town- everyone out, several short cuts closed due to burst water main. Queueing, queueing...Aldi heaving.....Not the best day!!
More doggy duvets sewn over w/e. I love sleeping bags- no covers needed. Now need that publicity so sales boom.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Just had an invitation to be interviewed (live) in Jan on the local BBC radio station to talk about the duvet making and the charity.Need to swot up on the charity !- I think I know all it does.
Running round today- all those jobs. Finally remembered to get the tracking checked on car- way out- that's how tyres end up being oddly/ badly worn. Another £40 shelled out- caused by all the potholes we have.
Still the one outstanding card and letter to write.

katiehound i bet it is so nice to have a working dishwasher, i would cry if i didnt have mine, dont know what i would do without it
Well back from Poland, what an amazing place. Didnt get to do everything we wanted to.
Despite the cobbles i was determined we were going to push around rather than get the local taxi, just so we could see more of Gdansk.
The christmas market was very impressive. They also had a massive craft fair running aswell and we bought quite a few bits for us from a local artist. Normally we are buying presents for everyone else and don't treat ourselves, but it was nice too this time plus it was supporting a local artist. We had worked the hand luggage very carefully (handy having disposable health products which freed up room everyday) so got everything back okay including the delicates.
We went to the WW2 museum-humbling and heartbreaking. Extremely impressive with the detail they have. We spent several hours in the museum before pushing back stopping off at a teashop for food, the equivalent cost in sterling was only £5. Would definately go again and we've decided we want to see different parts of Poland aswell.
Today's plan is to tidy the house! We partly unpacked and did the mail last night but there are bits everywhere. I think DD is getting stuck into the wrapping of presents which she hasnt had chance to do but we did manage to deliver some before Poland and cards all delivered.
Tomorrow is picking up the meat, last minute food shopping bits and popping to see friends with their presents. I'm so glad i've prepared in advance, couldnt of done it otherwise.
Hoping everyone is doing okay with their Christmas prepDecluttering challenge🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️0 -
Morning everyone. Home again. Jet lagged and back to reality. It doesn’t feel like Christmas is two days away. Holiday was lovely but now I’m behind.
I got in and got the reindeer ready app and made my little video of the reindeer in my little girl’s room ready for Christmas Day. I’m now furiously scribbling highlights in the tv times. Food delivery came last night..late, not good when you’ve been up 30+ hours and today we have reindeer food and Christmas cupcakes to make. Then I might feel a bit more back on track.
What was scary is the cat sitter sent a photo while we were away. One of the big shelves of CDs collapsed and fell down. CDs (about 700) everywhere. And right under all the mess was all the presents. I haven’t even started to tidy up but duh through to the presents to make sure they’re all ok and survived. I could cry. Lots of squished boxes and ripped paper but I hope things inside are ok.
Hope everyone is ok and all ready for the big day.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120
