Drive by Valuation?

Is a drive by valuation a bad sign??
I stayed in all day yesterday waiting for the surveyor to turn up to value our house.
The day before I had sparkled and buffed the place to perfection...they didn't show...when I called them this morning, I was told "don't worry they've doe a drive by valuation"
This is my second mortgage application, the first one fell through due to a surprisingly low valuation...I desperately wanted them to look around properly, the house has had significant work done. The other challenge i have is that we live in a rural area, so there isn't any "recently sold data"
I'm starting to panic that it was the same surveyor before who didn't rate our home very highly at all!
Do LLyods have their own internal valuation system? when they valued it a year ago their valuation fell bang in the middle of zoopla and mouseprice..
Any insider info welcome, thanks
