Complete newby first time poster here so HELLO!
I have been looking at mortgages on here under the Mortgage Best Buys tool, and am interested in a TSB 2 year tracker at 1.14% and says its only available by contacting TSB direct. I have done this and have been informed their best rate is 1.19%. NOt a huge difference but not as on this site. Am I doing anything wrong? Do I need to use some magic words to get the rates on here? Or is the guide not quite right?

It may just be that the lender has changed their rates and since its Xmas the person that updates the rates on the website isn't in... just a guess. Its also worth mentioning that not all lenders will be on this website. I wouldn't trust a website that isn't owned by the lender as its never going to be bob on.I am a Mortgage Broker

Lender is only one who knows the current rates. Third party guides will lag behind recent changes.0
