Key worker open market homebuy scheme (old scheme)

I am a teacher and I bought my property in 2007 through the key worker open market homebuy scheme. Since then I have married and had children although never added my spouse to the mortgage. As we plan to extend our family I am considering taking a care er break. I may not return to teaching. The paperwork for the scheme says that career breaks must be agreed by the equity loan provider and cannot exceed two years. My query is whether it would be better to consider requesting having my spouse added to the mortgage and whether they would allow him to be qualify as the key worker because he is also a teacher. Would it be worth that rigmarole? Would this afford me the peace of mind to give up my job and possibly not return?

You have been living in the property for nearly 10 years so not sure if anyone cares if you have a career break or sell up and move to Iceland
