The Big Half Price Event is now on at Waitrose with a month of great savings from 29 December until 24 January 2017. More fantastic offers from 4 January.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 3 Jan: If you go online to Waitrose or in store (find your nearest), you can get 50% off over 100 products until Tue 24 Jan. If buying online, your order will need to be delivered or collected by 24 Jan.

I have just checked this and they have jacked up the 'normal' price to double and then 'halved' it. Most of these 'half price' porducts are still more than you woud pay at Tesco's.

However, there is nothing to beat the warm, middle class glow of being in Waitrose with the other lovely shoppers and the free newspapers and hot coffee.

I am off there now.

Doesn't seem as good as the last half price event.

I got a tin of custard for 49p (50p at Asda) and some Sharwoods curry sauce at 87p (usually goes on offer for £1 at Asda/Tesco). Then some Carex soap at 70p less 20% PYO making it 56p and this is usually on offer at £1 in Tesco.

So there are bargains but mainly on household stuff. Nothing like fresh meat or similar.

The palmolive shower gel down to 68p with PYO.

I'll stock up on that and hand wash.

Sunbites at 82p are also a good deal the cheapest I have seen them is £1, also the chicken wings at 74p I have finished the ones I stocked up on last time, I notice that the price has gone up a penny.

I agree, I love the 3 for £10 on waitrose meat and buy it regularly especially if its part of PYO

I did get the half price sausages and saw the meatballs, but just didn't see many others. I guess I just missed the pork chops and I wouldn't buy chicken wings anyway.

If you shop at Waitrose you probably already know about the half price event happening which lasts up until the 24th January.
I just spent this afternoon looking for good offers in preparation for a big shop this weekend and thought it would be nice to share this list If I end up with a small shop then I will know who to blame.

Some items below have "PYO" in the offer and it means you need to add the specific item to your Pick Your Own list via the Waitrose grocery website or via the Waitrose Pick Your Own App to fully take advantage of the offer. The "Now" price takes into account any multi-buy offer.
