Hi all,
I know there is a lot of required reading but before I devote some time into it I wanted to give a little info on myself and what I'd like to do, so that some of the more experienced people can let me know where to start/if it's at all possible.
My background is marketing, from working with tiny companies to big nationals. My main areas of expertise are email marketing, campaign management and copywriting, plus I have some experience with social media, affiliates and blogging. I also understand all other areas of marketing and how it all fits together.
After a few years in the big corporate world I've decided it's not for me, in fact I hate it so much, it's really affected my mental state (lots of anxiety and depression).
While I decide on what I'd like to do, I want to get back to what i do best - sitting in front of the PC at home and working hard to make some money. Sadly the ways I used to make money like this (affiliate marketing for online poker) don't really exist anymore.
I've been doing some matched betting and have been making a few hundred quid which is great, but from reading some of the forums it seems like this is a very hard thing to do full time.
I was wondering then what other things I could do in combination with that to make an acceptable living? To summarise:
- I am an experienced marketeer
- I am extremely hard working online
- I am passionate about working for myself and making some cash
Could I do this? Does anyone do this?
Thanks :money:

Lots of people do, or have a combination of home and workplace employment.
Have a look at katykicker's blog for example.0 -
Yes, you can do this.
There are lots of affiliate markets out there and if you're already a dab hand at marketing then you'll probably find your feet pretty quickly.
I do a variety of things online, matched betting is still my biggest earner but it can slow down once you've done all the signup offers or start to get accounts restricted. I also make money as an affiliate, write product reviews, complete tasks, it's very varied.
Have a good read around the boost your income section and don't expect to make big money quickly.
Good luck!Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -
Content mills are always looking for good copywriters and editors. The pay isn't great, but you use this as a stepping stone to attracting private clients and a much higher income.0

Matched betting can be quite stressful and you have to roll over the start up bonuses several times making it not worth it tbh!0

Yes many of the people do this. They even work at some company and do part time work from home.0

Thank you so much for mentioning me!
I make money online from a wide variety of methods that I have slowly built up in the last few years they are:
Blogging (sponsored posts)
Affiliate marketing (On my blog/social media etc)
Paid social media management
Content writing
Surveys
Market Research / Focus Groups
Matched Betting
eBay selling (competition wins / freebies etc)
GPT websites
and anything and everything else!
My blog is one of my biggest sources of income now, after 2 years of work, but I keep up the other streams too. I like diversifyingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
