General
1. This “Competition” is brought to you by Jet2.com Limited (“Jet2.com”) whose registered office is: Low Fare Finder House, Leeds Bradford Airport, Yeadon, West Yorkshire, LS19 7TU.
2. These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with any specific entry instructions and any other terms and conditions referred to herein. Entrants to the Competition acknowledge that failure to comply with any terms and conditions may result in their disqualification from the Competition. Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all the requirements of these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions referred to herein.
3. Entrants must be individuals who are residents of the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and must be aged 18 years or over. Employees and officers of Jet2holidays Limited (“Jet2holidays”), Jet2.com, Fowler Welch Limited, Dart Group plc or any organisation professionally involved with the Competition, or their close relatives, are not eligible to enter.
How to Enter
1. Jet2.com will post a total of 4 Facebook posts and/or Twitter tweets regarding the Competition (together, the “Posts”). The Posts will be branded “Jet2 Ski Stars”.
2. To enter the Competition entrants must either like or retweet a Post, as appropriate (referred to as a “Hit” for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions).
Timing
1. The competition will commence when the first Post has been issued by Jet2.com on Tuesday 27th December 2016 and will finish once the cumulative total of Hits across all Posts (the “Total Hits”) reaches 5,000 (the “Entry Period”).
2. Any Hits after the Entry Periods will not be considered a valid entry, notwithstanding the fact that the Posts may remain on Jet2.com’s Facebook and Twitter account page.
General
1. Entrants accept these terms and conditions and Jet2.com’s general terms and conditions (a link to which can be found at clause 9 of the Prize Terms and Conditions below) when they Hit a Post.
2. Entrants are only permitted to Hit each Post once. However, entrants can Hit any number of Posts across Facebook and Twitter. Each Hit counts as an entry into the Competition. For example, if an entrant likes 2 separate posts on Facebook and retweets 2 separate tweets on Twitter this would mean that they have four entries into the Competition. If an entrant Hits a single Post more than once, however, each additional Hit will be disregarded. Hits generated by script, macro or other automated means are void.
3. In the event of a dispute as to any Hit, the authorised account holder of the Facebook or Twitter account will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these terms and conditions. The "authorised account holder" is the natural person assigned a username by Facebook or Twitter. Entrants may be required to show proof of being an authorised account holder.
4. All entries must be made by the entrant themselves. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the Promotion in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the Promotion, that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
5. The winners will be required to participate in any reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion.
The Prizes
1. There are four prizes in total: 1) one lucky winner will receive up to £300-worth of Dare2b.com ski wear and a pair of Rossignol skis and bindings (the “Second Prize”); and 2) three lucky winners will win one pair of return flights to either Salzburg, Grenoble or Geneva (the “First Prize”) (together, the “Prizes”).
2. The Prizes will become available incrementally on a tiered basis. Once Total Hits have reached 3,000, the first tier will be reached and the Second Prize will become available; once Total Hits have reached 5,000 the second tier will be reached and the First Prize will become available.
Choosing the winners
1. Once the first tier is reached and the second Prize becomes available, 1 entrant will be selected at random from all entrants that have Hit any Post by that time. Once the second tier is reached and the first prize becomes available, three entrants will be selected at random from all the entrants (including, for example, when the final tier is finally reached, those that Hit a Post prior to even the first tier being reached) as the winners of the relevant Prize. There will be four winners overall in the Competition.
2. The four lucky winners will be notified that they have won on the date that the relevant tier is reached and the associated Prize becomes available (or if not a business day, the next business day after the date that the Prize becomes available). The notification will be by way of a Post which will announce the names of the winners and the launch of the next prize tier (where appropriate).
3. The winners will then have 7 days from the date of the announcement Post to claim their Prize. If the winners do not claim their Prize within this time, Jet2.com may, in its absolute discretion, re-award the Prize to another entrant, change and/or withdraw the Prize (or any part of it).
4. Once a winner has been notified, they must provide their address, email and telephone details within 7 days (or such other date as notified by Jet2.com). These details will be used by Jet2.com to administer the Prizes and as set out in these terms and conditions.
5. Winners’ details will be included in promotional Posts in which they are announced as winners. The Posts will be produced by Jet2.com. By entering the competition, entrants agree to participate in this activity and comply with Jet2.com’s reasonable requests and directions to this end.
General
1. Please note that any social media used to promote the Competition (i.e. Facebook and Twitter) are not responsible for any element of this promotion and have in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered this promotion.
2. Entry into a competition is deemed as acceptance to receive marketing, communications from Jet2.com and their associated companies and personal details will be used in accordance with Jet2.com’s privacy policy which can be found at: http://www.jet2.com/privacy-policy.
3. Entrants’ details will be published online and may be used in future marketing activities and by submitting their details and entering the competition, entrants also agree that they will get involved in further reasonable media relations and social media activity (if they are a winner).
4. Jet2.com may in their absolute discretion change these terms and conditions without notice or cancel or amend the competition without prior notice at any time.
5. By receipt of any Prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Jet2.com and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and Prize providers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action (excluding personal injury or death), including, but not limited to, damage to or loss of property arising out of participation in the Competition or receipt or use or misuse of the Prizes.
6. The Released Parties will not be liable for any cancellations or changes to the Competition or the Prizes, or for any loss or damage that entrants (or accompanying passengers) suffer as a result of entering the Competition provided that nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the liability of the Released Parties in relation to personal injury or death caused by the Released Parties’ negligence or fraud.
7. Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant’s application, printing, typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the application process or the Competition; (4) printing, typographical, technical, computer, network or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest, the uploading, the processing or judging of Posts, the announcement of the Prize or in any Competition-related materials; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants’ participation in the Competition or receipt or use or misuse of the Prize (including any travel/activity related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable Posts or for any technical problems, malfunctions of computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof.
8. If the winning entrants are deemed not to comply with these terms, they will be excluded and the Prizes (or any part of them) may be redistributed. Jet2.com’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Jet2.com shall not be liable to perform any of its obligations under the Competition or in respect of the Prize where it is unable to do so as a result of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its reasonable control and whilst it may (but shall not be obliged to) endeavour to provide an alternative Prize of equal value, it shall not be liable to compensate entrants or winners in such circumstances.
10. These terms are subject to English Law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Prize Terms and Conditions – The Prizes are subject to the following general terms:
1. Each Prize is non-transferable and may not be given, gifted, assigned or sold to another person.
2. The winners cannot exchange the Prize for cash or other alternatives. Jet2.com reserves the right (but shall be under no obligation) to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value to the Prizes (or any component part thereof) if for any reason, it or any other suppliers are unable to supply the Prizes as specified.
The First Prize
1. Three lucky winners will win a pair of return flights to either Salzburg, Grenoble or Geneva. Flights will depart from one of the UK airports from which Jet2.com operates.
2. [Outward] flights must be taken during the following periods: Salzburg: 30 November 2017 – 21April 2018; Geneva: 16 December 2017 – 22 April 2018; Grenoble: 13 December 2017 – 22 April 2018
3. Flights are subject to availability and may not be taken at peak periods such as Christmas, New Year and Bank/School Holidays: please see www.jet2.com/promotions for further terms and restrictions.
4. A restricted number of free seats are available per flight, Jet2.com reserve the right to offer an alternative date/destination to the one offered if this allocation is met.
5. Travel must be completed within 12 months after notification.
6. Changes to names and travel dates are subject to the standard change fee plus any difference in fare as outlined in Jet2.com’s general terms and conditions of carriage, which can be found at www.jet2.com.
7. Flights may be changed or cancelled by the airline for administrative reasons without prior notice. In accordance with our terms and conditions, Jet2.com’s schedules are not guaranteed. Any changes will be notified via email.
8. Checked in baggage is not included.
9. Flights may not be exchanged for cash and may only be taken by the competition winner along with one other traveller. Flights must be taken at the same time and are non-transferable.
10. Jet2.com recommends that you take out your own insurance as this is not included in this prize.
The Second Prize
1. One lucky winner will win ski-wear, skis and bindings, as described in more detail below.2. Dare2b Skiwear: the prize consists of skiwear with a value of up to £300 (including VAT), selected from the range then available on the Dare2b website. The product value is based on the price listed on the Dare2b website at the time the winner places their order. Dare 2b reserves the right to replace the selected skiwear with similar items if an item selected is unavailable. 3. Winners can only select skiwear up to the value of £300 and it cannot be added to; any order under the value of £300 will not be made up with a cash payment.
4. No other offers or vouchers can be used in addition to or in conjunction with this prize.
5. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 28 days of notification to Dare2b of the winner’s details by Jet2.com.
6. Dare2b cannot be held responsible for any third party products or services.Rossignol skis and bindings:
1. Subject to availability of the winner’s selected sizes, the prize consists of one pair of the Rossignol-branded skis and bindings, as shown in the following link: http://www.rossignol.com/GB/GB/experience-84-hd-konect--2016--RAFEC01--product--home-alpine.html or their equivalent with a similar value and performance characteristic.2. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 28 days of notification to Dare2b of the winner’s details by Jet2.com.
