What to buy in Lakeland

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a lovely christmas!
I`m more of a lurker here, but I know I can rely on your expert opinion .
I was lucky enough to receive £40 in Lakeland vouchers, and I can put another £30 in cash to it. Trouble is, I don`t know what to buy! I already have a slow cooker, and a blender, decent saute pan. Don`t want a bread maker .
I have been looking at this
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/31555/Lakeland-Fold-Out-Grill

but never having used one before I don`t want to be limited to cooking bacon and sandwiches on it, so any ideas there would be gratefully received.

Also on the list was a soupmaker

But it`s quite small and seems like a lot of money to pay for something I can make on the hob!

I feel I can do without cherry stoners, and mango splitters etc:D
But I would like any other suggestion as to what I might find useful in the kitchen, small or large.
Thanking you in advance xx

Without looking at the online catalogue, if I recall, there is an electric clothes airer that people swear by. I don't have one but have often thought it might be a good idea. HTH
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Keep yourcash and the vouchers safe till there is something you really want, add to you 'stash' if you can.

I am saving for another one of these, they are brill -

Islandmaid, great minds an' all that LOL

Edited to add: to stretch the vouchers and cash even further, use a cash back site and also if you get on the mailing list sometimes they send a £5 off voucher.

Now that looks very useful and the reviews are good. We do have a tumble dryer, but this looks extremely cheap to run. Thank you Island maid , and Caterina who had the same idea!

I do like the look of the grill. Think whether you will use it for tea time meals etc. Would it fit into your routine?

Other than that I would consider the baking trays if I needed new. Lakeland are very good quality.

Linda32 we tend to cook up lots of things like curry/bolognese/ chili/stew then freeze it in portions to reheat during the week. I was thinking about cooking things like chicken breast or fresh fish on the grill, but as these are quite expensive I worry about it not cooking properly. If anyone uses a healthgrill regularly I`d love to hear some ideas.

If you freeze a lot then what about a vacuum sealer I would love one of those to put all my freezer foods in.
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

I love my vac packer - we have just replaced ours after 15 years. Good for freezing, but also keeps cheese & cold meats beautifully.

I would definitely endorse the vote for the heated airer and they do different sizes. Bought one for my daughter in law and she is very pleased. Also their after sales service is second to none.

I wouldn't swear by it, but if you have the space it's handy to have. It gives off a gentle heat, and works much better if you lie clothes over it than hang them off the bars. The happy side effect is that it costs little to run but heats up the room, so useful if at home during the day.
