Help to Buy ISA with spouse on my second but their first...

I currently have a house/mortgage in my name, my spouse is not on the deeds or anything.

I did not use the Help to Buy bonus on the first purchase and do not expect to get it on the second.

Is it possible for my spouse to use this scheme for the bonus on their first home which is joint with myself that will be my second?

I've asked an agent who has said no (but also gave us the only different valuation out of 5...), mortgage adviser isn't that sure either but seems to think its okay.

  • You can use spouses Help to Buy ISA bonus, even though you are buying it with them. But you won't get your bonus.
You couldn't use the equity scheme however

Thanks, seems clearer, if we don't get it at the time we don't, nothing lost have been going through with the max savings contributions anyway.
