Amazon market place query re description

Is it possible after ordering from Amazon marketplace to find the exact wording of the description? I ordered a book end of November from what I believed was a UK seller and UK dispatch. Checking the details in 'My Orders' when it failed to arrive mid December I found delivery had changed to January and from a USA seller! I would never have ordered it had it said this in the description so I believe something somewhere has been altered. The details in 'My Orders' merely states the title of the book and the seller's user name, the rest of the details such as description etc are not visible, the only description I can find when clicking on the item name is the stock Amazon one for Good condition, ie may be ex library book, but that was not the description given by the seller with his listing. Any idea if it is possible to view the original listing as it appeared on Amazon when I placed my order?

I haven't found a way of checking after the event and it has caught me out on at least three occasions now.
The first time I made a big fuss with Amazon but they persuaded me I must have misread it, the second time I checked and double checked, it showed a UK seller and with a delivery estimate in about 7 days and only after purchase when I checked a week later did it show as coming from overseas with a 40 day delivery estimate. I'm still waiting for the third item, again I paid extra for someone that appeared to show as a UK seller with a delivery estimate of mid December, only to have it change to now show end of January.
As far as I am concerned now unless I buy from Amazon direct using prime I won't be buying again as it seems daft that delivery estimates can change after you have committed to buy and all Amazon said when I queried the last one was 'it is probably that the UK seller has run out and has asked for one to be drop shipped direct from Hong Kong, and that will naturally reflect in the delivery estimate!'. They did say I can return it at my own cost if I am not happy...but I can't do anything now until it arrives.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi, thanks for replies. Looks like my fears are confirmed. Will from now on take screen shots. I'll put in a complaint to Amazon but doesn't sound as if they will take much notice, but I guess the more complaints they receive the more aware they might become of the practice. I'm now wondering what condition this book's going to be in when it arrives as I have no proper 'description' of it any more.0

I never knew any of this, what happens if an item comes from overseas that is subject to import duty/VAT?0
