Hi everyone,
I am busy arranging my daughters christening but as money is a bit tight i really can't afford to get screwed over! My Ex will be paying 50% but still dont want to pay over the odds as it were.
Can anyone tell me approximately how much it would cost to hire the following on average...... (or how much you would be willing to pay would help as i really have no idea!!!)
a village hall (no bar, no catering just the building)
a social club with bar and catering
a social club with bar no catering
a small room in local pub with bar and catering
a small room in local pub with bar no catering
Going mad with all this planning!!
Thanks in advance for any help

there is a small old social club type thing down the road from us, which is owned by the local council, that rents the room out for £20 a night. it has bar in so people get drinks as and when they want.
a local pub here does room hire for £120 weekends. but might be cheaper if you want it in the afternnon after christening.
my advice is ring around local pubs near the church, cos there is one near here has a little space top of the bar area where they use for specially for christenings sunday afts. so try a pub local to the church, then ring council monday morning see if they have any little old social clubs.
hope this helps xxx0 -
Our community centre charges £40 for upto 2 hours, just the building with a tea and coffee making facilities and limited access to the kitchen.
Our nearby working mens club charge the same, again just the premises. If you are getting her christened is there not a church hall available?
Good luck.0
