So if I decide to sell it for parts should I pass V5 for next owner or sell it without documents? How does it work? Thanks

There's some very questionable advice on this thread.

    I would suggest:-

    - You enjoy the car until such time as the situation is escalated by the finance company. (Ensure that your insurance company is aware of the true ownership of the car).

    - Wait to see what the finance company want to do.

    - Contact the seller to make them aware of the problem they have created, and to get their side of the story (maybe there has been a mistake?)

    - Consider suing the seller for your losses.

    - If there is substantial money outstanding on the car, then it is not yours, and you need to consider the implications if you dispose of it.

    - If the outstanding balance is small, you might be able to pay it off and then the car will be yours to do with as you wish.

You seem very keen to dispose of it? Is it really that bad a car?

Selling for parts implies it is a non-runner or MOT failure.

We've already established that your title (ownership) is protected. Or at least you have an argument in the event of a claim.
