I got the Echo for Christmas from my husband and I love it. The only problem is that my eldest's name is Dexter and sometimes the Echo mistakes it for 'Alexa.'
Also, the skills that are available in the USA seem so much better. I really wanted to be able to have it read recipes to me but the AllRecipes skill got pulled from the UK skills.

IIUC you can change the settings so that the word that launches the Echo is "Amazon" instead of "Alexa".0 -
