Asset Link Help

Hi all,
I've just received a letter from Asset Link to confirm that Barclaycard has assigned my account to them with an outstanding balance of £xxxx. This happened just after Barclay agreed my payment plan with them and they promise won't sell the debt to another company. Is the anything that I can do, or just deal with Asset Link. But after reading all posts regarding this company, this doesn't look very promising.
Is anyone who can help me to deal with Asset Link? I haven't contacted them yet. Is my interest frozen to them like it was with Barclays? Barclays said I should have the same payment plan with Link Financial at least 6 month. So is my interest frozen at least for 6 months like it was with Barclaycard?
On the letter that I received from Barclays it says I have to deal with Link Financial Outsourcing Limited. Are them the same company as Asset Link?
I have more debts than this one, especially pay day loans but I managed to have and arrangement in place with then and stop the interest and fees.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
A quick Google suggests asset link are a part of link financial.
They now own your debt, so you should now be paying them, you can do it all online, you dont need to speak to anyone.
Debt purchasers/collectors cannot add interest to defaulted debts unless the original agreement allows then to do so, most do not.
You can propose whatever payment plan you wish to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Fatbelly and Sourcrates, thank you so much for your advice. I really didn't know I can re claim an charges. Especially from wonga. I had 3 years when I borrowed from them almost daily until this summer when I couldn't pay to any pay day loans.
I discovered one site on one of your posts Fatbelly. But it looks too good to be true. I can't post here because I am new.
In this moment I don't know what to do complain, but I have to study more this problem.
Thank you so much guys, I feel like Santa visited me today.0 -
