Conveyancer Hell

Hi,
I am looking for some advice. Our Conveyancer has incorrectly advised the mortgage lender of the wrong completion date, one month early. The lender transferred the funds to the solicitors. We are not sure if they were aware of the fact they messed up because they only took action after we found out, which was 5 days after, purely by fluke as we only found out because we went to measure up the new house and were advised there was a letter when we opened it was confirmation of the mortgage set up and payments due, starting one month too early. They then tried to return the funds to the lender. however they have returned it to the wrong account and now are struggling to get hold of the money. Obviously wit Christmas coming I don't believe they will resolve this in time for the lender to cancel this mortgage set up and restart for the correct date. With us expected to pay our first mortgage instalment a month earlier than planned and our final months rent we are not able to do this! Any advice on what we can do or where we stand? Can I ask for the conveyancey firm to pay the lender back the money from their own bank account until they can claim it back from the wrong one, surely they must be insured for this? Please any advice welcome, this was supposed to be a calm Christmas before completing and moving in January now I've not slept for 2 days worried about how were going to find money for all this!

They'll be insured, so any losses you suffer will be covered, but that doesn't mean they can magic up the money in an instant - they're unlikely to have a similar amount lying around in their bank account.0 -
You are buying a property yet do not have sufficient aside to cover an extra month's rent?
As stated, the legal team will put any loss right in time but unexpected expenses are part of property ownership.
Is your solicitor holding deposit funds you can tap to cover these payments in the short term?I am a Mortgage Broker

1. The conveyancer should cover all your costs and I'd be wanting the money upfront.
2. Your mortgage should not start a month early, you dont even have the house on which you are paying, you need to get that cancelled.
3. If an extra months rent puts you on the breadline, how on earth do you think you can cope with owning a house?0
