How quick can i remortgage

Hi

I've just bought a house on a right to buy. I have 2 year tracker rate mortgage. How long do I have to wait before I can remortgage the property to do home improvements.

    Do you have an Early Repayment Charge on your mortgage?

    Also - I believe you need to own a property for at least 6 months, although this might just be to resell rather than remortgage, I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to confirm.

    If you want to borrow into the discount, you'll need the Council's permission and a deed of postponement.

    Many lenders will not lend until a property has been in current ownership for six months or longer.
