Career development loan

Hi all- I wondered if anyone had any advice about the best sources of loans to help fund a career change? I've been offered a law training contract by a top London City Firm (which is great!) but it means 18 months of full time study. I have a mortgage and childcare commitments which means that we'd somehow need to find 30K. I read somewhere that career development loans (as in the ones backed by Gov) are capped at 10k... would it therefore be better to go for a standard personal loan, or perhaps a mix of the two? I guess one of the main restrictions is that we wouldn't be in a position to make any repayments until I begin work (i.e. after 18 months).
Longer term salaries are very strong so I'm hoping that banks will look favourably on me! Any advice would be awesome
Thanks a lot

Is the firm not offering study support? Usually a standard loan would probably cover it if you can get it0

That's not going to be an option for a personal loan.0 -

there is just about zero chance of getting a standard loan with no repayment for 18 months0
