Quick question about informing creditors of DMP

Hi,
Should i let my creditors know i'm starting a DMP this month,or should i just leave it for my DMP advisor to let them know.
I'm really worried about phone calls and letters and was wondering if i sent them a letter as well if it might encourage them to deal with my advisor direct instead of hassling me.
I already feeling worried and stressed at the thought of defaults and worse, i just want things to go as smoothly as possible!!
Any advice?
Thanks

i just let my dmp company deal with it , i only had 3 phone calls and have 8 creditors, when they rang i just told them who i was with and quoted my ref no and refused to discuss it furthur ! I have had a few letters ( which dont worry me ) and i just post them on to the dmp company. I have only been on it 1 mnth so I expected loads of hassle from the creditors but its been far easier than i thought, my dmp people are great, they told the creditors not to ring me as my oh didnt know and that i was ill ( he knows now ) and most of the creditors have accepted this and been ok. Im sure it will be ok for you too. good luck and let us know how youre doing.love xxxxxxxx0

Please make sure you do you DMP through one of the free organisations so that more of your money goes to your creditors.
