sales call from planet49 comp

They are sales people claiming to provide a service...lets not make a judgement before a trial.
I gave them a bank account number I don't use and I will put a month worth of their fees on it. We'll see if what they say (i.e. weekly returns) is true.
Personally I doubt it but since I play the lottery (stupidity tax as some of my friends call it ) I don't mind checking them out.
Should have something more to say at the end of January.
Regards

course you did.
I don't believe anyone is stupid enough to give personal bank details out over the phone.
I just got a call from them, told them to go find another gullible fool.Quotes in context only please.0 -
Thanks for this. Just had a missed call from that number. We are ex directory and with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0

Thank you for this thread and in particular to Purplevamp.
I am a newbie and have just opened the same email as Purplevamp mentions. I was quite excited!
I'm glad I came on here before I did anything with it.
I have no idea, being a newbie, how to recognise these things.0 -
I think I had this a while back. I told them that I didn't enter lotteries as it was against my religion! :rotfl:
It certainly ended the conversation quickly.0 -
I also received an email from "Easy Education and Planet 49" today saying i was 2nd to win the prize....funny as i thought id un- subscribed my email address a while back...just deleted it again!0

I know this is an old thread but I came to it after googling planet49.
I got an email today from a company called WRM telling me I'd won an iPad, mac or iphone.
Link takes you to a 'puzzle' game which McAfee shows as safe, it then asks for phone numbers etc at which point I stopped (not bank details unless that comes later). Looked at their T&C's tho which quotes planet49 Germany as the 'promoter'.
So looks like they are still at it but under another name.0
