PRA and Litigation Recovery

Options
Hi. I've just received a letter from PRA Group saying my account is being managed by their Investigations and Litigation Department to ......."look at your outstanding debt for possible litigation recovery". They want me to contact them and if they don't hear from me they..... "will be forced to undertake further investigations to gain a insight into your ability to pay the outstanding balance through information that is available to us". I've been making payments to this account for over 5 years and it's not that long ago that they accepted a continuation of the repayment agreement.

Does anyone have any insight into this please? Are they trying it on in an attempt to get me to call them as they suggest or might it actually be something more ominous?

I was just about to send them a CCA request and suspect they may well not have the original agreement. Would this be a good time to send the CCA request?!!?

Thanks.

    Yes CCA a good idea.

Could be a standard Christmas card they've sent to everyone, or, there trying to squeeze more cash out of you.

Either way I would not ignore it.

Send the CCA request, then also write to PRA group and ask them to clarify what there talking about, or you could ring them and ask, I wouldn't normally advise ringing any DCA, but finding out what's going on will mean you have a happier Christmas.
