"On call" during annual leave

Its not annual leave if you are expected to be available for work and surely it would mean staying within a certain distance of work , not drinking and keeping your phone with you at all times etc. What if you had booked to go abroad? Either its leave or not. I would raise it with my line manager .0

The contract could include terms that mean it can be cancelled even if already started.
I'm sure that's wrong, I agree 100% that the contract can state that holidays must be taken as and when the employer chooses but I don't agree with your statement above, they could try putting it in a contract just like they could say that you had to bring in an apple every day for the boss but I'm sure it would be classed as an unenforceable condition.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
