Christmas Champagne Deals?

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find an exceptional deal for a case of Champagne? I can't really afford to spend 160 pound but that's what i'm finding for a case of 6 Moet.

I am going to my families place for Christmas Eve/Day and they really like their good quality drinks, so this is my contribution, it would be great if any of you could help with letting me know any promotions or deals (London area if possible).

Many thanks

Does your contribution have to be champagne? If so, Moet is not necessarily the best choice: the ratio of drinking quality to price is not favourable. Lidl and Aldi offer lesser-known but excellent champagnes at more reasonable prices (as well as lower-priced and lower quality champagne). Or you could consider some really good cava and/or prosecco: you would probably get good advice at Waitrose.
  • Lanson is on offer at the moment at £20 a bottle at most supermarkets so that would save you £40, and Lidl won a few awards for their Champagne recently but can't remember which one.

Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top Brut £17.00 in most supermarkets too, saving you £58
  • Thanks both, that's great about the Heidsieck, is it good?

I should have added, I don't live in the UK anymore so am looking for online deals that I can buy and have delivered to my parents house ready for when I arrive.

At Sainsbury’s, there are some amazing deals and very decent fizz at under £15 a bottle.

It's fine but Lanson is better. If you can get a Tesco code you may get it even cheaper than £20 which would be a steal.

IMHO both are more enjoyable then most Moet but neither have the same 'snob appeal'.

You might also check out Laithwaite's (aka Sunday Times Wine Club aka British Airways Wine Club): if you order from them but log in via Quidco or TopCashBack you are likely to receive a cash bonus.
