Making A Very Simple Will - Any Free templates?

Not sure if this is the place to put this, but Im after a very simple will that is correctly worded.

Ive seen some online but most you need to pay for. Has anyone a draft document template for a will that could be used to insert names and amounts into.

Basically I only want a will that says, if I die, leave everything to X, Y and Z. Possibly a line that says a gift of £X amount to other people.

If anyone has a template they have got online they are willing to share, would be highly grateful.. you never no, u may even get a mention in mine!! :rotfl:

Thanks!:money:

You can go to WHSmiths and buy a book with a template will. I think it is cheaper than the online wills. However as you want to make gifts to people I think you should actually pay to have a will written or get one free if you are in a union.

Solicitors make more money from homemade wills then from writing wills themselves.

This is due to the number of disputes that arise if the will is not written correctly. For example if you want to leave people out there are laws that you must follow, and also ways in which you must do this.

In addition if your will is not written properly the rules of intestency can come in to force meaning your estate goes to people you don't want it to or the crown.

If you are in a union you can get a will written free. (Which I'm in the process of doing.) Any changes to that will, will have to be paid for but at least you get a solicitor to draft it and no one can argue that you didn't mean what you wrote. This is proper money saving.:D :T
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
