You could try some of the links below for inspiration:
http://www.lighting-direct.co.uk/led-colour-changing-kit-c-64.html
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ateball-63574-Mini-bath-lights/dp/B000FO6QN6

Be aware that a lot of kits aren't designed for wet areas such as bathrooms and may have switches that aren't good for wet hands,
They may be designed to be plugged into a mains socket (not supposed to have these in the bathroom i think) and may have a big adaptor that you'll have to hide somewhere. I guess behind the mirror.
saying that what are the chances of being electricuted compared to getting a superbug in hospital...0 -
Cheers all
i am gonna try and find the article and post here and see what you think but they were tiny little "twinkle" type lights set in the grout around the mirror and bath

I have a empty fireplace. im going to attempt to use the colour changing leds up in the chimney to point down to where the fire should be. possibly on to big fat candles or something. just got to work out how im going to hide teh wires0

The 'twinkle' lights you refer to are probably fibre optic lighting rather than LEDs. I've just had them installed over by bath. Try www.wimbledonlighting.co.uk - very helpful and prompt service.0

B&Q have some triangular or rectangle shaped 'push led lights' which you just stick underneath a cuboard or shelf or at the top of a window and you just push the plastic to turn them on.
Bit like this http://www.lampspecs.co.uk/Light-Bulbs-Tubes/DOT-IT-LED/DOT-It-Pink-Osram0
