Well I took a gamble and ordered the Cloud9s Xmas original iron gift set when it went on sale which I imagine will arrive in the next few days. Still in stock if anyone else wants one.
I also 'accidentally' ordered the Corilois C3 off Amazon as it was 'only' £80.
I'll update later after using both new ones in case anyone searches up the same thing in 2017. I'll ebay the iron I like least I imagine.0 -
Hello, Merry Christmas to all. Well, I too agree that Cloud 9 is one of the best hair straightener one can buy as it offers effective heat up and cool down on demand and also looks quite stylish.0

Probably a bit late now, but I bought Cloud 9 over two years ago and they are by far the best brand. Not just that but the first pair broke just a couple of day before the 12 months warranty. I had bought them on ebay and all I had as evidence was the summary page.
I sent them back with a copy of the page for repairs expecting them to write back to say that they needed a receipt or something, but their response left me totally gobsmacked. Not only did they not questioned the receipt, they didn't repair the straighteners but sent me a brand new pair....all this in 48 hours. I emailed them to say how impressed I was by their service and I got an immediate lovely email back. The best service I've ever had. I use the cloud 9 every day and couldn't do without them.0 -
My Cloud9s arrived today and I tried them out briefly. Initial impressions are good. They feel sturdy like my Ghds and hair feels soft. Will use properly and give feedback on these and the C3s which I've used a few times now.0

I bought GHD from Amazon and they were rubbish. I called Amazon to complain and they replaced them and when sending them back I noticed all the writing on them had worn off. I only used them half a dozen times.
Then this story turned up in the papers

The replacements Amazon sent me have now stopped working after 2 years 2 months. My old GHD lasted 6 years.0 -
I too have the same dilemma as my GHDs are 12 years old and have asked my hubbie for a new set for my birthday next month.
I'm interested to know if the Cloud 9 are worth the hype or if the Corilois are better? I haven't heard as good reviews for new GHDs.
I use straighteners every day so they need to be long lasting!Mortgage free wannabeMortgage (November 2010) £135,850Mortgage (November 2020) £4,7840
