Advise on Part Time In Service PGCE

I took a gamble in June and left an administration role to become and NVQ assessor. Two months after I started the role, the functional skills tutor left and I was given her duties, as well as training for my assessor's qualification.
I am really enjoying the teaching role now, I already have my PTLLS qualification (done whilst volunteering in a Maths class) and would now really love to complete a PGCE.
I have looked at the government website and tbh, find it all very confusing, so if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.
My qualifications are:
BA Hons degree in 3D Design 2:2
O Level Maths and English (from school in the eighties)
GCSE Maths A* (2015)
PTLLS
IDEAL SCENARIO:
I would really like to continue teaching functional skills, with maybe a specialism in maths. I would like to complete a part time PGCE in service at my current place of work. I would also like to do a maths for teaching course at the same time (not sure what the course is actually called).
I am unable to pay course fees on my current salary so would like to be able to get a student loan for this.
Anyone know if this is do-able?

I don't know. But have you considered School Direct? You train on the job so get a salary. Not sure how many schools would look for functional skills teacher though. Maths definitely.
Have you spoken to where you work, if that's you're preferred place? There's also your local university. They will be able to advise and often attend/hold events for people looking to move into teaching from other careers, so would be able to advise you.
    Good luck.

I'm the opposite to you. Starting to plan my escape from teaching after 20 years. :rotfl:

You'd need to do a subject knowledge enhancement course before the PGCE if you want to be able to teach maths. This would apply to Schools Direct also.

Strictly speaking you need A Level Maths to do the enhancement course. You'd need to speak to a provider to see how flexible they can be on this.
