2nd applicant on mtg with temporary contract?

Iv just managed to get my self the perfect part time job to begin at a school in the new year.:j
This position is temporary to cover maternity leave.
We would like to save enough by the summer and the income from this job will 100% be going towards the house deposit.
I am fairly confident that this will become permanant futher into next year, BUT just incase.....
1) How would a temp contract be looked at on an application?
2) And if i did gain a permenant contract would i need to have had it for X amount of months?
Thank you

If it's the first temporary or fixed contract many lenders won't accept it. Is your income needed to meet affordabiity?
If you've been in the same line of work for two years or longer, you may be in luck.

I have two jobs. One full-time, salaried and contracted job. Another zero-hours job that earns me about £30k a year on the side.
I've just got a mortgage. The lender considered ALL wage from my contracted staff job and my zero hours job. All they wanted was last three month's payslips from the zero hours job (and of course my full-time job).
Yes, I was as shocked as you.0 -

Thank you
My husband is the main applicant.
It would be very helpful if my income was taken into account as it allows us to look at an extra bedroom ...or a house that we dont need to do much work to. It could mean our forever home.:o0 -

Iv just done a nationwide calculator using OH income and my new temp income and it dosent take it into account.
I think ill start looking at other lenders criteria just incase.
May not be needed in terms of affordability if we manage to save a good amount.0
