    With most lenders, at the end of your fix you can do a non-advised product switch on-line which does not entail an affordability check or a credit check as long as there is no additional borrowing or change in term.

    So you should be fine.
    If a choose a retention product and ask to keep the term the same (7 years) will the reduce my payment without me have to do affordability checks?
